Eurotech form alliance with Crossroads

Eurotech and StrongBox has concluded an alliance to bring LTFS and LTO technology to existing Eurotech clients across the O&G, Media, Life Science and Public Sector. With over 25 years of experience providing tape technologies, Eurotech is in prime position to assist new and existing clients with the adoption of StrongBox archive technologies.

Reducing our clients TCO, as well as providing solutions that have better ROI is key to Eurotech; both ROI and TCO can be achieved with the adoption of the Strongbox technologies. Eurotech is planning to replace their existing hard disk archive infrastructure with the latest StrongBox tape offering and by doing so substantially reducing the power consumption in their data centre. Media written by StrongBox can be read by any LTFS compatible driver or system, furthermore the StrongBox state of the art replication algorithm provides a cost effective replication engine that allows for data to be replicated across multiple sites or cloud services providers.

StrongBox provides a NAS front end to the LTO-5 drives by creating a storage pool and sharing pools to users across the network via NFS or CIFS. StrongBox improves Data Mobility and fault tolerance with a Self-Healing mechanism, Optimised Performance’s as well as Seamless Scalability.
