Geoscience Data Management
Our work in Data Management relates to E&P / G&G subsurface data and covers all major oil and gas datatypes, including seismic, well data, production & reporting data etc. All members of our team have geoscience or IT degrees and a deep understanding of these datasets, together with the associated databases, repositories and software that make up a company’s portfolio.
Our experience covers everything from small start-up companies looking for advice on best practice and assimilating newly purchased datasets, to high level data management workflow consultancy where we look to offer recommendations on the full information lifecycle, applications and IT integration.
Examples of where we can assist include:
On-site data Loading - (e.g. Geoframe, Landmark, Kingdom, Petrel, Recall)
Off-site data management and project conversion – data loading to individual E&P applications e.g. Landmark, SMT Kingdom, Geoframe IESX, Geoframe Charisma or project conversion – cross platform conversion of seismic, well and interpreted data from one E&P application to another. see link to Offsite Data Management
On-site data management – ongoing management, housekeeping, QA of company seismic, well or corporate databases.
Records management – handling of hardcopy, digital, on-site library and off-site repositories and storage.
Information management – E&P related information management across non subsurface applications. This can include EDMS systems, corporate knowledge management and knowledge capture, SharePoint and government and regulatory bodies, e.g. DECC, CDA, UKDeal, NHDC, Pon co-ordination.
Project and data clean-ups – ongoing or turn-key projects, focusing on data quality improvement as major programmes or discreet projects.
Consultancy – High level consultancy across our entire knowledge base. Tailored to the individual companies needs and focusing on customer requirements from design of corporate databases to thin client options or assistance with tendering from RFI and RFP generation to contract award and partnering agreements.
Management of third party projects and contracts.
Application Support – day to day support of technical E&P Applications. Administration of E&P databases through to user mentoring and remote support.
