The FLX380 storage system joins StorageTek's
FlexLine family, providing excellent performance in a family of
industry-leading technology. The FLX380 storage system integrates
4-gigabit-per-second Fibre Channel connectivity, high-performance Fibre
Channel or high-capacity Serial ATA disk drives, and powerful storage
management.
The FLX380 storage system continues the FlexLine family's heritage of a
modular, building-block design, enabling lower acquisition and
expansion costs while maintaining maximum flexibility. The FLX380
controller houses the dual-active, intelligent RAID controllers,
provides eight 4-gigabit-per-second host connections and supports up to
224 Fibre Channel or SATA disk drives. Redundant controllers and a
host-based failover driver provide automated I/O path protection and
enable continued data access.

Switched FC modules - JBOD FC modules - SATA point-to-point modules
2. Capable of supporting massive quantities of cache - Minimum of 1GB
per controller (2GB total) - Maximum of 8GB per controller (16GB total)
3. One FLX380 scales up to as much as 62.0TB of usable RAID 5 capacity
through an array of up to 224 drives in just two cabinets, with 300GB
drives.
